Elder Willie G. Wood accepted salvation 08/02/66. In 1971, he surrendered to the call to preach. He was ordained in 1976. He became Pastor of Bible Way Church of God in Christ in 1986. He is known for his anointing call to preach the Word of God. He sets an example to others regarding living as God's chosen servant. His great leadership skills and abilities is an asset to the church and the surrounding communities. He's a man with a vision to build and uplift the kingdom of God. He works diligently to educate and assist improving the quality of life for all. "When there is no vision, the people will perish... (Proverbs 29:18)." Elder Wood has pursued his biblical studies at T.C.R. Bible Study Christian International School 1992-1993. He has served as New Smyrna Beach District Secretary 1992-2004. He served as New Smyrna Beach District Chairman 2004-2006. Elder Wood is a successful entrepreneur. Willie Wood Construction, Inc was established in 1978. He is committed to providing affordable, quality residential homes. His community involvement provides opportunities to witness and share the Word of God. This company sponsors and supports Bible Way Radio Ministry. He is a well respected member and advocate of New Smyrna Beach Chamber of Commerce, Better Business Bureau, National Federation of Independent Business, Code & Enforcement of Oak Hill, Southern Building Code Congress International and the Builder Association of Florida. Elder Wood is married to First Lady Gail V. Wood. She supports and enhances his ministry by reaching out to those in need. She has implemented a "Just Because and Be Good To Yourself" Campaign. Her ministry manifests the love of God and draws souls to Christ. We give God all the honor, praise and glory. |
